Lounge and dining
Removed existing loose furniture and refreshed communal lounge and dining areas with new seating and furniture.
Student accommodation · Communal space refurbishment
Working alongside our client, we refreshed existing communal areas into a more modern, welcoming and functional environment for students to relax, socialise and study.

The brief
The existing communal areas were ready for a refresh. The aim was to create a more modern and inviting setting for everyday student life, bringing lounge seating, quieter study spots and useful shared areas together.
Starting with a site survey and design ideas, the project moved through the refurbishment works to a finished space ready for use.
The works
Removed existing loose furniture and refreshed communal lounge and dining areas with new seating and furniture.
Installed new study booths, a high-level communal bench and collaboration seating to support focused work and informal group use.
Added feature shelving with oak panelling and decorative finishes, with repairs and making good where needed.
Improved lighting with new feature pendants and LED bulkhead lighting, alongside decoration and final styling.
The wider works also included site supervision and setup, access and waste arrangements, cleaning, final decoration and handover documentation.
